However, for the greater peace of mind of our customers, we remove all but the last four digits of your credit card number after your order is processed.

We do not use your personal information for telemarketing. When you place an order with us, you will be added to our mailing list. If you prefer not to be on our mailing list after your order is processed, please let us know when you place your order. Our mailing list is shared only with our parent company. We do not otherwise sell, rent, share, or distribute our mailing list in any way.

For items purchased directly from MelBayXPress.com, we offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. To ensure prompt replacement of or credit for damaged or defective items, please check your product upon arrival and report any problems to our customer service department immediately. You must email returns@melbayxpress.com and obtain a return authorization from a customer service representative before sending a return. Unauthorized returns will not be credited. Returns must be made within 30 days of the invoice date.

Returned items must be in their original condition, free of creases, scratches, writing, stickers, or punctures. Corners should not be worn or bent. For your protection, we recommend shipping returns via UPS or insured parcel post. We cannot refund shipping charges unless the return is due to our error. Items should be returned in their original packaging or another corrugated cardboard box. Paper envelopes (including bubble packed) are not acceptable. Books must be tightly packed to prevent damage due to shifting in transit. Items damaged in the return shipment will only be credited 50% of invoiced value. Include a copy of your invoice in the package.

Refused shipments will receive credit for product only; shipping charges will not be credited.

Recorded products (CDs & DVDs) are not returnable once unwrapped unless defective. Books with CDs attached to a cover are also not returnable once the envelope of the CD has been opened. Defective items will be exchanged for the same item only.

Mel Bay Publications is based in Missouri and therefore all orders shipped to addresses in Missouri will be charged the applicable sales tax. All orders shipped outside of Missouri will not be charged taxes and will be the responsibility of the customer to check their local tax laws for their tax liability.

Packages delivered to countries outside the USA may be subject to customs and/or import taxes. Mel Bay Publications has no control over these taxes or fees and it is the sole responsibility of the ordering party to cover these costs. We will mark each package with a list of contents and the price paid for them but we do not include any information referencing customs or import taxes. We do not offer refunds or returns because of a refusal to pay these customs or import taxes or because the packages do not reach their destination for these reasons.
